Creamy Garlic Steak & Broccoli Alfredo Spaghetti

There’s nothing quite like a comforting bowl of creamy pasta — especially when it includes juicy, pan-seared steak bites and crisp-tender broccoli tossed together in a velvety, garlicky Alfredo sauce. This Creamy Garlic Steak & Broccoli Alfredo Spaghetti combines everything you crave in one irresistible dish: the rich flavor of seared beef, the freshness of green vegetables, and the luscious creaminess of homemade Alfredo sauce.

It’s a restaurant-quality meal you can make right at home in about 35 minutes — easy enough for a cozy weeknight dinner, yet elegant enough to impress guests on special occasions.

Ingredients

For the Pasta and Broccoli:

  • 12 oz spaghetti (or fettuccine, linguine, or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 tablespoon salt (for boiling water)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Creamy Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1: Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente — tender but still slightly firm to the bite. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets directly into the pot with the pasta.
Once both are cooked, drain them together and set aside. Toss lightly with a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the Steak

While the pasta is cooking, pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels — this helps them sear properly and develop a golden crust. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot and shimmering, add the steak in a single layer (work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding). Sear for 3–4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned on all sides and cooked to your liking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan — those add incredible flavor.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and milk, whisking continuously to combine. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.

Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese a little at a time, whisking until the sauce becomes smooth, creamy, and luscious. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

Step 4: Bring It All Together

Add the cooked spaghetti and broccoli to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Use tongs to toss everything gently, ensuring the pasta is fully coated in the creamy sauce.
Return the seared steak bites to the pan and fold them in carefully so the flavors meld together. Let everything cook for 1–2 minutes over low heat until the steak is warmed through and the sauce clings beautifully to the pasta.

Step 5: Serve and Garnish

Serve immediately while hot. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
For an extra indulgent touch, finish with a light drizzle of olive oil or a squeeze of lemon juice to balance the richness.

Tips & Variations

  • Choose the Right Steak: Sirloin and ribeye are both great choices because they’re tender and flavorful, but you can also use flank or strip steak if preferred.
  • Add More Veggies: Broccoli pairs perfectly here, but asparagus, spinach, or peas would also be delicious additions.
  • Lighter Option: For a lighter Alfredo sauce, replace half of the heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • Cheese Matters: Always use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-shredded. It melts better and gives the sauce a richer, silkier consistency.
  • Make It Ahead: You can prep the steak and broccoli ahead of time and refrigerate them separately. Reheat gently with the sauce when ready to serve.
