 Creamy Shrimp Ravioli Skillet

A luxurious 30-minute dinner that tastes straight out of an Italian restaurant.

This Creamy Shrimp Ravioli Skillet is comfort food perfection — tender cheese-stuffed ravioli tossed with plump, buttery shrimp in a velvety garlic-Parmesan cream sauce. Each bite is rich, savory, and bursting with flavor.

It’s an easy, one-pan dinner that feels fancy enough for date night but simple enough for a weeknight meal. You only need a handful of ingredients and about 30 minutes to create a dish that will wow everyone at the table.

 Recipe Overview

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4
Difficulty: Easy

 Ingredients

 For the Ravioli and Shrimp:

  • 1 lb cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a gentle kick)

 For the Cream Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Ravioli

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the ravioli and cook according to package instructions (usually 3–5 minutes for fresh, 8–10 for frozen) until tender.
Drain and toss with a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Add shrimp to the hot skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
Transfer the shrimp to a plate and set aside — they’ll finish in the sauce later.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce

In the same skillet (don’t wipe it out — those browned bits add flavor!), reduce heat to medium.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan and scrape up all that garlicky goodness.

Let the mixture simmer gently for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to thicken.

Whisk in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Continue to stir until the sauce is creamy, smooth, and coats the back of a spoon.

Step 4: Combine Everything

Add the cooked ravioli and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in that luscious, cheesy sauce.

If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water or extra broth until you reach your desired consistency.

Simmer on low for 2–3 minutes to let the flavors blend beautifully.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and an extra dusting of Parmesan cheese.

Serve warm with:
Garlic bread or toasted baguette slices
A crisp Caesar or green salad
A glass of chilled white wine (like Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay)

Tips for the Perfect Shrimp Ravioli Skillet

Don’t overcook the shrimp — they turn rubbery fast! Remove them as soon as they’re pink.
Use quality Parmesan — freshly grated Parm gives the creamiest texture and best flavor.
Make it extra rich: Stir in a tablespoon of butter or a splash of white wine before adding the cream.
Add veggies: Spinach, sundried tomatoes, or mushrooms pair beautifully with this sauce.

 Storage & Reheating

  • Refrigerate: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat: Warm gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.
  • Freeze: Not recommended, as cream sauces can separate when thawed.

 Why You’ll Love It

This Creamy Shrimp Ravioli Skillet is:

  •  Ready in just 30 minutes
  •  One-pan and minimal cleanup
  •  Creamy, garlicky, and perfectly seasoned
  •  Elegant enough for entertaining, but easy enough for weeknights

Every bite feels like a restaurant-quality dish made right at home — rich, indulgent, and irresistibly delicious.
