Invigorating Cold Relief Tea Bombs

When the weather turns chilly or you feel a cold coming on, this soothing and revitalizing tea blend is your best natural remedy. Bursting with anti-inflammatory ingredients like ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon, and boosted with vitamin C from lemon, this drink not only warms you up but also strengthens your immune system and clears congestion.

Recipe Overview

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Servings: 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about ½ a lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1 tablespoon freshly grated turmeric)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for a warming kick)
  • 2 green tea bags

Instructions

 Boil the Water

In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

 Infuse with Ginger

Add the grated ginger and reduce the heat to low.
Let it simmer gently for 5 minutes to release all the beneficial oils and flavor.

 Add the Good Stuff

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the honey, lemon juice, turmeric, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
Whisk well to combine — the turmeric can settle at the bottom, so keep it moving.

 Steep the Green Tea

Place the green tea bags into the pot and let them steep for 2–3 minutes (longer if you prefer stronger tea).
Remove the tea bags and stir again.

 Serve and Soothe

Pour the tea into your favorite mug and sip slowly while warm.
If desired, add a slice of lemon or a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Storage & Tea Bomb Option

To make Cold Relief Tea Bombs:

  1. Mix dry ingredients (turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne, and powdered ginger if desired) and portion them into small jars or silicone molds.
  2. When ready to use, simply drop a “tea bomb” into hot water and add honey, lemon, and a green tea bag for instant comfort.

Health Benefits

  • Ginger → eases nausea, relieves sore throats, and supports digestion.
  • Turmeric → fights inflammation and boosts immunity.
  • Cinnamon → stabilizes blood sugar and adds warmth.
  • Lemon & Honey → soothe the throat and provide antioxidants.
  • Green Tea → energizes naturally and strengthens immune defenses.
