Ingredients
For the Lobster
- 2–4 lobster tails (4–6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Cajun Garlic Butter
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. Prepare the Lobster Tails
- Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell down the middle to the tail.
- Gently pull the lobster meat up through the shell, letting it rest on top (but still attached at the base).
- Pat dry with paper towels.
2. Season the Lobster
Brush lobster meat with:
- olive oil
- Cajun seasoning
- paprika
- salt & pepper
- lemon juice
Make sure it’s coated well for maximum flavor.
3. Make the Cajun Garlic Butter
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant (don’t brown it).
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, onion powder, red pepper flakes, parsley, and lemon juice.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
4. Cook the Lobster
You can broil, bake, or pan-sear — choose your favorite:
Broil (best flavor & caramelization)
- Place lobster tails on a baking sheet.
- Brush generously with Cajun garlic butter.
- Broil on HIGH for 6–10 minutes, depending on size, until opaque and lightly browned.
Bake
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 10–12 minutes, brushing with butter halfway through.
Pan-Sear (fastest)
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add a spoonful of the garlic butter.
- Cook lobster meat 3–5 minutes per side, basting constantly.
5. Finish With Butter
Brush the hot lobster tails with more Cajun garlic butter.
Serve with extra sauce and lemon wedges.
